Dear young scientists with a focus on agroforestry,
would you like to discuss your research, challenges and findings in the field of agroforestry with others? Would you like to know which topics other young scientists in Germany and other countries are working on? Are you wondering how this or that paper fits into the bigger picture of agroforestry? Let’s build a network, exchange ideas and pursue these questions together in order to learn from and with each other. Together, we can contribute greatly to agroforestry research and help move it forward.
Aims:
- Personal exchange between young scientists and establishment of a network for research cooperations in the future
- Jointly elaborating issues related to agroforestry with a strong emphasis on research
- Exchange regarding method development, experimental implementation and data analysis
Target group:
- Young scientists working in the field of agroforestry (students, PhD candidates, postdocs)
Format:
- The idea for the Agroforestry Science Club is new. We would like to tailor the frequency, length and format of the meetings to the needs and interest of the participants. The club will start with a kick–off meeting during which we will explore the latter issues, among others. However, it is already clear that the meetings are voluntary and it is not necessary to be present at each meeting.
- The meetings will mainly take place online, but if there is interest, there will also be face–to–face meetings, e.g. in the context of the DeFAF Forum Agroforstsysteme.
We have caught your interest. Then please proceed as follows:
- Send us your email address to (subject: Agroforestry Science Club mailing list) and we will add you to the list.
- If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact us (see above).
We are looking forward to the exchange with you!
